Tubular glass photobioreactor

The Lgem Helios H-27 is an industrial PBR designed for natural light, but it can be installed as a hybrid with added LEDs. The unit consists of one tubular module of transparent glass pipes arranged in 48 parallel rows in two layers. The length of Helios H systems can vary between ~100m to ~150 with the same skid and pump set and control. Like all Lgem PBR’s Helios systems have the same two-phase flow fluid dynamics, exceptional mass transfer and similar pressure drops, which makes them very reliable and high performing, even with fragile algae. Upscaling to hectares has never been so easy.
